For development of custom monitoring applications NuDesign provides the SNMP Agent Studio for Windows, a code generation tool used in automatic generation of SNMP Extension Agent DLLs for any standard or custom, application-specific MIB module. The tool greatly simplifies development of Windows SNMP Service compatible Extension DLLs. Using it is as simple as reading a MIB module into the wizard, it produces complete project files and the source code that needs to be instrumented for each read / write object. The notifications are auto-handled as well.
Windows Extension Agent DLL Builder Features
The Visual xAgentBuilder 9 for C++, code generator and a core component of SNMP Agent Studio for Windows supports IPv6 / IPv4 communications, it generates 32bit and / or 64bit Extension DLL local subagent code, it also generates rfc2741 – AgentX remote subagent code. The product installs as a wizard under MS Visual Studio 2008 and higher (including VS2015).
